the problem was with small screens.

Target Date is an app that allows you to place a little icon on your menu page as well in the notification bar of your home screen...of course as long as the theme you are using has space for notifications.
I am posting a few of the custom icons that I have made. You will need to make a folder on you SD card to store them. I will post a 1 thru 5 steps to take you with any luck through the process
I does take up to a minute for the icon to appear in the top notification bar of your home screen. You will need to have two files (one for the menu icon and one for the notification icon) loaded onto your card for both icons to appear. However, you only have to select the larger icon when choosing one for your selected date for them both to appear.
Well that's probably as clear as mud but give it a try

The screen shot below shows the 'teal heart' as a notification icon counting down to 5 more days until I participate in a Relay for Life.

These are screen shots from the app itself. I am using version 1.3. The last I checked the store here only has version 1.1 and App World has version 1.3 Just the menu screen looks like the only difference. Remember you only have to select one of icons you want to use or you can always use the built-in icons.

I did get from Monihand...it says 1.4.1 update, but when I go to dl, the files is 1.3

do you mean do not see the new icons? did you try scrolling down when you are selecting a new icon?

The icons from Elizabeth should show for you. Try clicking on the icon name in the list and you should get a whole table looking setup of icons. Hers are there at the bottom.
Or maybe re-download again and then reboot? Maybe you didn't actually get the new one???

I clicked icon name see all the icons but Elizabeths will delete app and redownload to see if that works
