I have a Bold 9700 and want to listen to the UK BBC digital radio station '1Xtra' which can be found by googling bbc 1xtra.
what free apps will let me do this?
thx!
p.s
ive tried Viigo but that only does podcasts and other stuff i dont need...
also tried 'IO 2 GO' but that will only stream a small selection of preset US stations...?
ok so ive just found a thread on here with a direct link to a BBC Mobile site which i understand hasnt been working for a while as it tells me I am not in the UK (even thought I am) so it doesnt work.
just tried flycast and dont think that can do it either.
there must be some other way I can stream it on my BB!!
I've just tried it in my car but it didn't work!?
Surely it should work when travelling ??
So I've tried it again when in my home wifi network and now it says something like
'Wireless network connection has been disconnected'
So it now doesn't work at all but I can use the browser still to write this...?
Youtube streaming using m.youtube.com has also stopped working and says the same error message.
Anyone else use moodio?
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com
ok i made it work again AT HOME (not in the car) by doing this:
1. Open the blackberry browser
2. Options via the menu key
3. General properties
4. scroll all the way down & tick ON switching to wap for streaming media
So whats the deal with it not working in a moving vehicle?
I just tried connecting to streaming radio via my Home WiFi, then getting in the car and driving out of range of my WiFi to see if it would automatically switch to WAP and sort itself out but as soon as I get out of range (halfway down the road) it will stop working.
Now I am getting the error message
'Content is not available. Server is blocked or unresponsive.'
Have you tried Nobex Radio Companion? just do a search for this, as it's a free app. I gave up on moodio long ago after numerous problems. If they don't have your station, you can email them a request. As for playing in your car, once you download this app, if you have Bluetooth sync with tour car audio, the sound is amazing. Audio is tons better than XM or FM.
