I KNOW the apps work (email/app world/calendar etc). I KNOW IT... rim just hide the icons from us so lets get this thing working .

Exactly. I'm getting messages in dev alpha phone but I can't open it. Just led flashing.

I guess these are hidden because adjustment thing is not easy and meaningless to rim. So they just hide them.

The alpha device shows 33 installed applications, so they are there.

As ildoo said, they were probably hidden because it would take a lot of time for RIM to adjust the apps to look and act properly on the device given the smaller screen, different aspect ratio, and higher pixel density.

yes hidden screen is messed up but like theoptions screen it will just overflow.
