I am new to the BB Storm 9530. I have puchased software of various types from several sources. Some of these either download to my PC or to the phone just fine. Many others won't go to the phone either by SMS or email, even though I get a message saying the file was sent. I downloaded the file directly to my PC and all I get are .cod, .jad or .jar files. When I try to use the Desktop Manager, it gives an error message saying it can't find the alx file.

    1. Why do the files not go to the phone?

    2. How do I get these programs to install onto the phone from the PC?

Jar/jad files are made for ota(over the air) you need a application for your computer to convert them if you have to load threw desktop manager take the link you downloaded them from send it to your blackberry then open the link on it and download them direct that's the easiest way

or copy them to your SD card and navigate to them using BBFileScout or similar. Your phone will treat them like internet links and install them as if they were OTA.
