My guess would be that the Curve 83xx/BB 88xx version would work since they have the same screen resolution as the 85xx. There was a thread awhile back about getting those the CDMA models of these devices working with Slingplayer that has the link to the jad. Try a search.

I have validated this worked fine on my blackberry 8530 on Sprint. I downloaded the software, and immediately upon logging in, it said I needed to upgrade to a newer version, which I also performed with no issues.
After upgrading there is a warning that the model is not supported, but it continues on and streams fine!

i have a BBY Curve 8530 and i downloaded the sling player ya'll are talking about. it downloaded fine but when i try to log in it gives me the red sling symbol with the white dot going around it but wont go any further. any ideas?
ok..... Is this a free version??? Its now coming back after I followed the upgrade that this is a 30 day trial??? Did anyone else run into this for the 8530??
