I downloaded Slacker Radio for my Curve 8310 last night. When the songs play they all have a "cracking" sound to them. They also played very slow. I can play regular music with no issue, but streaming from Slacker is very bad. Also, Slacker slowed my system down to almost unusable.

I decided to remove it and then do a battery pull. System seems ok now.

Is Slacker Radio just too much for EDGE service? Should I have tweaked anything?

    Thanks...

You should use caching. This process preloads music on your BB to avoid the issues you encountered.

Slacker is pretty resource intensive, so there will be some sluggishness. Caching will improve the response.

Also remember that if you are streaming music that is a lot of information your BB has to bring in OTA, and depending on the area you're in it can affect the quality of the music and performance. Like wnm said caching is preferable...you don't have to worry about signals, and it helps on battery life.
