I have been trying to delete slacker radio for a while now. I have tried deleting from the apps list inside BB options, and through app loader. I click on the checkbox to uncheck it, but it stays checked and won't go away. Help???

    Two step process...

    1. Options > Advanced Options > Applications. Then scroll to Slacker > Menu > Delete

    2. After you delete it from your phone, then delete the Slacker sync app and Slacker folder from your SD card.

Well, I'll be damned. I thought I tried that already, but it worked. Thanks a lot!

Though it seems complicated, it's actually pretty easy to set up.

I agree with the above poster... why on earth would you want to rid yourself of slacker. It's one of the 5 best apps EVER for the BB Curve.

I never thought I would use my Curve to listen to music, but Slacker has changed that...what an awesome app!

I actually use my BB for work

When I travel, it is my link in airports, cars, restaurants and any other place where my laptop isn't the right choice. And, of course... it's my phone!

I drain my battery enough using these functions and I am not always near someplace where I can plug in and recharge.

So, I leave my music duties to my ipod. If the battery in that dies - no loss. If my BB goes dead... I'm unconnected.

That said, Slacker is a great app

This works on the Storm as well.

You know what I hate. When I can't get rid of the icon that keeps showing up when I have my Bold plugged in. I don't have slacker anymore, and the Slacker Icon won't go away!

Slacker slowed my curve to halt. So it had to go (since nothing else could.
Totally loving it on my bold though

Why is pandora better? Just curious.
I like I heart radio too becaue they have my favorite hometown radio station. But after bogging down my curve so badly I am afraid to load too many redundant apps.

I agree, Pandora is much better especially if you like hearing the same songs over and over and over.
