Where I think the app/functionality really falls short is that you can't use the app while traveling abroad (when you REALLY need it). It would be great not to pay .99 in Europe for example (and more in other countries).
Absolutely. I was coming in at $2.99/min in Beijing.
I would have been one of many who would have jumped over to VZW for the ability to use Skype while roaming.
Its obvious they either under estimated what people really need it for, or perhaps it was technically too difficult. There is obviously some reason that calls are routed through the Verizon network. I'm not sure if they do it for quality reasons, or some other technical reason.
