I've been working on this service for a while. It's designed to extend the texting of a Blackberry to a Windows IM-style client. I have been using it for several weeks and love it. Only problem is that I don't have many friends with Blackberrys. I would like some people to download it and test it before I start marketing it. You make a good point...I will deploy an official policy to the site ASAP. But for now I can say that the goal of this is not to gather phone numbers...lol. I have put a lot of work into developing this software, and there are probably a lot of easier ways to collect numbers than to create something this elaborate.

Definitely still open. Just go to simulsms.com and set up an account. I have been periodically running a script to update all accounts to a paid subscription. I am impressed that so many people have been willing to try this out!

Nope. The phone's data plan is used to route your messages to and from the Windows client.

I can't get it to load onj my bb or my computer.
On my computer my Nortons anti virus blocked and removed
the program, before it would even install. Something about the
program "behaving Suspiciously on the computer".
And on my BB I get this error message

Seems like almost everyone is getting the "SMS Port already in use" error. I'm not sure why it doesn't happen on my phone.

Anyone try it with a CDMA Storm 2 (9550)? That's what I have been running it on. I'm going to try to commandeer a friend's spare Curve tonight and see if I can get the app to throw the SMS port already in use error. Once I get the error it will just be a matter of attaching my debugger to the phone and tracking down the issue.

I was able to dl and install the app for bb and windows fine. But I added couple ppl and sent message and they have not received it. The app is running - set to Medium Polling. No error messages.

I have 9700 running 5.0.0.938 OS
