Initial "change log" findings:

- new icon, high-res and more iPhone-ish (I couldn't find Shazam at first after upgrade!)
- new Check for Upgrade option (I think that's new)
- crisper-looking UI

"Sorry, Shazam's having difficulties contacting the service. Do you want to retry? Error #3001"

Yep, I get the same error. I presume you also have a BES connection which is what this software somehow seems to have some issues with.

Nope, either if i use BIS or Wi-fi, it wont work..

Oh ok, I thought BES was the common factor - guess not then. My other thought was whether the issue is carrier specific, although I see you're with T-Mobile(in the UK??) and I'm with Telstra in Australia.

I had one of the first versions that came out in April which worked fine for me, but I changed jobs got another Blackberry (same Bold model) and downloaded the latest version and it just won't make the internet connection.

Hi Atteman,

Good news ... I finally got it sorted. It is a carrier related problem to some degree.

1. Start Shazam
2. Press the menu key and select "Network Settings"
3. Enter the appropriate APN for your carrier (mine was telstra.internet). For T-Mobile in the Netherlands try "internet" or "internet-act" for the APN and leave username and password blank.
4. Check the enable box and then the Test button
