I might be getting a new phone and I was going to either sell this one of give it to my friend. What happens to the apps I've purchased? Do they stay with the phone? And I am assuming the PIN will stay with the phone so what happens with BBM?

If you purchased the apps via the Crackberry Store, App World or Mobihand you can
go in to your account and update the PIN to your device. This will get you a new
registration code.
As to the PIN on the phone, yes it stays with the device but all is not lost. Use
the Device Switch Wizard in DM (you need to have both phones at the time)
move your data over from the old phone to the new and none of your contacts
will notice you were ever gone.
