Not sure if this is the correct location for this thread but:
I am very surprised that no one has create a app that allows one to install apps on the memory card and call it up on the device.
I remember this type of application for the Palm Os years back.
Cant remember what it was called but it worked well.
It was a bit slower but I would WELCOME the freeing up of device memory.

Did I miss something, is there a app like this?

Check Aerize, I think they have something call Card Loader, or something like that. That might help...

This allows one to install an app onto the card and execute?
It moves app to the device memory and then back to the card when exited?
I am going to take a look at this when I get home.

    THANKS

i think it stores the install file basically. You can use it ti install a program use the program and then delete the program but be able to install it again. But its useless because most times battery pulls are required. If you honestly are concerned with app memory, you have a couple things going on:

    1) to many apps installed that you never actually use
    2) badly programmed apps that steal memory on use
    3) too obsessive and want to see 45+ MBs of memory all the time
    4) glitchy programs that dont run well on the storm to begin with

my storm runs fine regardless of how much free app memory i have. the only time it slows is after a few days and i am getting into single digits like 5 or something.
