Im travelling in the US at the moment and have data only via wifi in the hotel. Dont want to incur the crazy data costs to am stuck using wifi. I do have voice and text.

I noticed with data turned off I cant seem to get app world to work. Says no data.

Is there any way to make it work on WIFI?

you NEED to have an active BB data connection either through wifi or mobile network. wifi alone wont cut it. turn your normal mobile network on while on wifi to restore your connection. it wont work without it. as along as all data goes through wifi, you shouldnt get any charges.
