    Hi all,

Recently I downgrade my BDM from 4.7.1.32 to 4.6 and using it to control my BB8900 running 4.6.1.231

However, today I try to install some application and I am sure it is compatible with OS 4.6.1.231 (I had it installed on my BB8900 before) but it said "No additional application was found for your blackberry device" and stop!!!

Any idea? Did I mess up somewhere???

    Thanks a lot

    Hi,

Thanks for the link but mine was still a problem.

I got OS specific device software installed first, then run loader.exe directly to upgrade my OS from .206 to .231

After the upgrade is done, I installed the BDM 4.7. For a while, it does not work properly and as per your thread suggested, I uninstalled it and put the BDM v4.6

Two things after, first the BDM 4.6 does not recognize my OS since no component of the OS 4.6.1.231 is shown up on its Application Loader session. Second, it does not allow me to install any other application that I know for sure compatible with my BB8900.

    Any idea?

Of course, I deleted vendor.xml since I used Hutchinson OS 4.6.1.231. And no autoupdate is allowed for sure

You need to go into control panel, add remove programs, delete your OS installed for the 8900. Reinstall the OS after a reboot. Then go to file explorer, program files, common files, research in motion, app loader, delete vendor.xlm file. Close windows. Open DM, and try again... Report back
