Ok question, I have gone into options, I have deleted facebook out of my
applications. I have even made sure it is gone when I hook up to my
desktop manager. But the facebook icon keeps showing up on my home
screen. I checked service books under advanced options and facebook
shows up there, so I delete it there, I do a hard reboot and it still keeps
    showing up.
Has anyone else had a problem with this? I've never had a problem
    deleting apps before.
Any suggestions before I call tech support?

FaceBook is pushed through by service books. The best you can do is hide the icon.

Hmm ok, cause before I downloaded that app I never had the icon.
I had the myspace icon but not facebook. I can't remember now
if I downloaded it before or after I updated to 4.5. Wonder if
that has anything to do with the difference in the service books.
I can hide it no problem, since I change themes soo often and have
to rearrange my icons so often because of that I was just hoping to
have one less icon to move or hide.
    Thanks.

You probably didn't download it. Service books can be pushed through by the carrier when they see fit. As long as you're not using it, it's not taking up any real space.
