While the Beta of Fake Call & Advanced Spam Filter is over, we are ready with a new Email Screenshot application.
Email Screenshot app allows you to take screenshots on your BlackBerry device then quickly and easily send screenshots to your contacts. Customisable options etc with more features are provided with his app.
We want to test run this app for different device types and OSes. In case you are interested in trying a pre-release app, please post below your device model and full OS version so that we can get the ball rolling. I think we will start with a small group (maybe the first 15 to reply) for private beta.
I have the s4bb screenshot app, but no app I know of has all the functionality I want... I'd love to help to get a fully featured screenshot app developed.

I use a different screens shot app but am not real happy with it. I would like to test this and make some suggestions. I make a lot of screen shots on a daily basis.
Hi All,
Thank you for your interest in beta. I have send the beta cut to few members. Please check your PM and let me know about any issues, suggestions, feedbacks on the forums itself.
It works as stated, but maybe it can be much more...
1) It defaults to the device memory with no control when clicking "Save", and basically the same when clicking "Save as", but you can navigate to where you want it. Maybe you can have it detect that there is an sd card in the device, and have an "option" to default it to the pictures folder there or where ever the user wants. This way it can be used without having to find a location, but still have the ability to select a different folder if one chooses.
2) To make it different than the others, maybe having the ability to go back to the location where the user elects to save the screenies after adding the initial one to an email, and be able to select another, and another, and so on. This way all screenies can be sent in the same email from within the app, rather than going into the email options to add antoher pic. Obviously the same way for taking the screenies as well.
3) Maybe you could add a vibration confirmation of the screenie being captured, or to be different than the rest, you could add a user defined option for an audio confirmation in the profiles menu. Even an option for both.
4) When the screen shot is taken the display pic is cut off at the top and edges. This is only for the immediate display after taking the screenie. When emailed, or saved to the device and viewed, it is normal.
EDIT: It is also always running in the app switcher. I don't think this is neccessary. It just needs to be called up when taking the screenie.
Very nice. It's only a beta, so there is room for improvement. I do like the folder search interface, and the ability to create new folders though.
It's working for the most part on my end. Here are my findings so far:
- I cannot differentiate between the image sizes (Screen x1 – x4)
- I am unable to save to my SD card – it freezes and nothing happens. I have to turn off/on phone. However I’m able to email to myself then save to my SD card.
- Could you incorporate to send as other: as SMS/MMS/BB Contact etc??
- The icon of the app changed on me. At first there was an icon now it just shows a rectangle box. I had to search hard for it. Not sure what caused it to change.
Well, after a reboot my icon was changed again showing the correct icon. Also as mentioned above it's running in the background, once you click on it from the switch application shortcut, it automaticallys takes a screen shot from that loc. Is that it's intention?
Works nicely so far! But I have to agree there is no reason
(that I can think of) to have it running in the background all the time.
I also would like to be able to send it as a email and also save
it on the SD card.
