Just got a app world notification that their was an update for Poynt (one of my favorite apps) download the update then tried to run and I get "poynt must download additional resources" and I click next and nothing happens!!!! I can't get past this screen, Ave done several re boots and still have a problem, any one else having this problem? Any ideas on what to do besides deleting and re installing ????

Try uninstalling and re-installing from Appworld, they have the update too.

U should have gotten an update notification if not go to app world i'm sure u will see it the update is to version v1.5.3.14

Delete and reinstall took care of my problem.

I just hate to do that because when u delete and reinstall the same program always seems to eat up a little more memory than it did the first time!

Is this update only for App World and/or certain BB models only? I'm running version 1.5.2.36 on my Storm2 9550. OTA download on Poynt's website shows same version - no upgrade.

Poynt's web site says the latest version for Bold 9000 is 1.5.2.36. Is this update just for some models?

Slow your truck down and take a breath! Some people do not use CrappWorld and the Poynt web site does not have an update for their particular model. So they are asking if the update is for specific models or is the update only for Crappworld users!!

1st of all, POYNT wouldn't update Appworld over their own website, if anything it's always the other way around as it usually takes about a week or longer for Appworld to post the update once received and to my knowledge doesn't discriminate per model of BB.

2nd, I know not everyone uses as you put it "Crappworld", I don't either unless I need to update an app that I know they have the update for and I can't find it elsewhere.

3rd, there is and always has been a delete option for apps you don't want or like, takes less than a minute to install "Crappworld", download POYNT and then delete the app, instead of everyone out here spazzin about not being able to find it on Poynt's site.

That is and all I was getting at


P.S. And if you live in a country where "Crappworld" is not available, see below.

We are releasing Poynt 1.5.3.14 on our website today. The app unexpectedly got approved over the weekend on App World so that may account for the change. For those not seeing the update, remember that it can take up to 7 days for the update to propagate through App World's servers.

I'll post the changelog in another thread once we throw it on the site

From your BB browser, if you go to m.poynt.com, and choose the OTA link, as of 12:28 pm. Mountain Daylight Time, the 1.5.3.14(newest) version is available. -- I've installed it already, and it seems to be working just fine.

Anyone having issues with "Lookup by Name" when searching for people? I get the "No results found" error even though I know there are results that match when checking the whitepages website.
