Default PocketInformant no longer supports Blackberry (rant)

I just switched devices, and loaded PocketInformant from the CrackBerry store. It didn't contain the icon pack, so I went to download it directly from WebIS (The PocketInformant Website), only to discover that they are focusing on iThings and Android, and have removed all traces of BlackBerry from their site!

That app was so useful to me, I'm not pleased about this, especially after they finally got off their duffs and integrated with a web-based version that syncs... that I was a beta tester for.

Which is the best version, IMO. PI for OS6/7 wasn't laid out too great for touch screen devices

I agree this makes me angry too! I have used this app on both my 9700 and now my 9900.

Type that link in your phone browser. This is a direct, OTA download.

Pocket Informant is great and still works, it's my most used app. While we still get support don't expect any updates/bug fixes after v2.51. WebIs point the blame squarely at RIM and the ROI for developing BlackBerry apps. RIM have not made access to PIM data in OS10 which is exactly what Pocket Informant needs and does well to sync with in OS5/6/7.

WebIs are sitting on the sidelines waiting so see the response to OS10 and whether RIM sink or swim. Can't blame them for that it's purely a business decision. For the same reason after over 180 apps purchased I've stopped investing in any more until the dust settles with OS10.
