I'd like to get a periodic table for the BB, similar to one I had on my old cell phones, can't even remember the name of it now though. I know there is ChemRef, but IMO it's not worth the ridiculous price. are there any (preferably) free programs with the Periodic table and possibly other useful info on each element out there? I've searched myself but came up with nothing productive.

being a geologist it's good to have a reference around when I need it, especially when chemistry isn't my forte. any help would be appreciated.

There are no free ones that I have seen but mobilereference.com has one for 9.99 and even crackberry has one for 3.99 I guess how much you pay depends on which features you are looking for. As a pharmacy student I downloaded lexi software for 115 so if you need it and use it frequently 10 seems like a reasonable price to me. Hope this helps. Oh and they do have a free trial available so you can try and see if you like it.

excellent, thanks for the info. I'd be willing to pay 10 bucks for one, but 30 seemed a bit steep on other sites.

I did find a generic java periodic table that works on the BB. The only real issue is that it does not use most of the screen but a small portion since it was not designed for larger screens.
