    Hello,

Any help would be most appreciated.

I am trying to utilize the software Pandora, Slacker and IHeart on my Blackberry 9530 unlocked (Orgional from Verizon)

In all three cases, the software times out when it tries to reach the respective server. The following errors occur:

Pandora: could not connect to Pandora. Please ensure you have sufficient network coverage and try again:

    Slacker: Tunnel Timeout

IHeart: failed to gather configuration file.

I am able browse the internet without problems. The issue is only trying to use 3rd party applications that connect to a server.

I have tried all three APN settings: wap.voicestream.com, internet2.voicestream.com and EPC.tmobile.com --none worked

I have copied a portion of my device log which I found intersting. Even though that don't have a Verizon APN in the APN setting, it appears that the phone might still be trying to use its tunnel. Take a look below:

It looks like the system tries the Tmobile tunnel and then tries the Verizon tunnel. I am no expert at this but thought it might help solving the issue.

I am running .151 using the .132 with the 5.0 Hybrid.

I have no IT Policy in force on my Blackberry
    The Firewall is disabled
I have pulled the battery so many times
I have allowed access to all the programs in the application settings

I have seen other post reporting this same issue. Hopefully, this post will get the dialog started to fix the issue. Thanks for your help.

Which hybrid are you running? Lyricidal's is suppose to fix the Pandora problem. Try a battery pull or go back to .148.

    Hello,

I tried installing the official .148 release from Verizon and still am not able to get the software for Pandora, Slacker, or IHeart to connect to the server. Has anybody had these issues? If so, how do you resolve? Is it possible that T-Mobile doesn't have my access provisioned correct? Could the phone be defective?

Again, I can surf the internet without issue. It is only the 3rd party applications which are not working properly. I could sure use some help.

    Signed,
    Desperate

Yep, I saw in the log you posted it tries T-Mobile and fails then tries Verizon. When you installed the OS on the phone did you delete the Vendor.xml file first? That's the only reason I can think of that it would even try Verizon at all. I think you need to contact T-Mobile because your PIN is requesting access from them and being denied.

Hello I have had this problem to an extent with at&t, I noticed when i dialed ##000000 send, as i scrolled down i saw it was set to (phone #) "vzw3g.com" I changed it to (phone#)WAP.CINGULAR.COM for both and CINGULAR1 for the password and it worked. The only prob i hae with Pandora and slacker is it taking a while to load up if it will slacker works more that pandora, its like it only sends the signal from the phone only part of the time.....but it does connect and i can use other apps i downloaded except facebook i have yet to get it to connect to the servers...???Any ideas?
