I want to change the 9 listed items to other more useful ones. I can't find operating instructions on how to do it. Is there a way?

Add a bookmark then select the Speed Dial number you want it to be.

Complete steps to do what you're asking:

(1) Open up Opera Mini
(2) Click on the "Bookmarks...." section (or select Menu...Bookmarks)
(3) Select "Speed Dial" (or select Menu...Select with Speed Dial highlighted)
(4) Scroll down to the one you wish to change
(5) select Menu....Edit

From there, you can copy it from a bookmark that's already established, copy it from your browsing history, or enter the address/title directly. Make sure to select menu...save afterwards to save your changes.
