I just installed the opera mini 5 beta and there seems to be an issue with trackball movement. It is very slow and labored when I scroll across a page. Am I missing a setting?? I reinstalled 3 times.

TBH, I use the BB browser. Yeah, it's slow, but i'm pretty new to Blackberry also. I had a friend suggest OperaMini, and it's never worked 'amazing' like he said =/

I also downloaded it and the trackball responce was slow. Then the second time I tried to load it, it crashed my tour. I have not been a huge fan of Opera and will probably not try it again. I use Bolt 1.6, and it works awesome. I use it almost more than the blackberry browser!

After countless hours of searching, last week I found a link here on the CB forums to a version that works. Opera Mini (especially the new version with tabs) is great. It is faster than the stock browser. When I get home ill look for the working version link.

try this link from the opera site< i have been using it for over a week since it was upgraded (silently) to work with os v5.0, and it will work with trackball devices (bb keys #2,6,8,4 fast scroll) and the tabs are great once you go to the site it chose my os version and gave me the one i needed >from bb browser > m.opera.com/next

Did you download the 2nd beta? I downloaded the 2nd one a couple days ago. I think its GREAT. I am not having any issues. It blows the default browser and bolt out of the water in my opinion. Also, you can use the 2, 8, 4, and 6 key for faster scrolling if anyone didn't know.

This link will force the download of the version for 4.3 OS and it will work on the Tour and probably other non-touch 4.7 - 5.0 devices. (Tested on Tour with 5.0)

    Shortened for comment: http://m.opera.com/next/minibb.jad?a...redir&bbfw=4.3

Trackball does click, and it will move left and right!

The latest build works without having to do the 4.3 version trick. It seems to be much smoother now as well.
