Did you get this sorted out??
Anyone else have issues getting Opera (4.2 or 5 beta) running on their 9700...?
What's the prob? Are you using the correct versions?
Sorry, just heavily rely on Opera and was planning the 9700 soon when it releases on Orange UK, and this has me worried now... ;-)

Both v4 and v5 beta didn't work on my stock 5.0.0.321 from Rogers, but I upgraded to the leaked .344 and now v5 beta works fine (after a battery pull following install). Hope that helps.

How do I launch it? I downloaded it, (opera mini), accepted the terms, and now it's just sitting in my "DOWNLOADS" folder. I can't figure out how to "RUN" it. Every time I click on the icon, all it does it re-install it. I'm with Bell Mobility. Thanks in advance....

The BOLT browser should work fine I much prefer BOLT over Opera-Mini. The UI on OM5 is really nasty and does not work like a true BlackBerry app should.
What really ticked me off is that I could not access my accounts on certain bank websites on my BB. I had a BB for years up until getting an iPhone 3GS in June. Would I be able to access them on third party browsers like Opera Mini or Bolt?

Yes with no problem!

Are you sure? I thought Opera Mini doesn't work with SSL since it runs through the Opera servers. The regular browser would be able to do it, but I don't think you'd get a secure connection with Opera Mini.
