so far so good on my 5.0.0.191 9530. I cant figure out how to log in to get my opera bookmarks though. Or anyway to save/back them up. It does have flick scrolling, if you can call it that. Great UI!
When installing make sure you reboot before opening the app, I found it to give me problems if I didnt.
Just downloaded for the Storm 9500, pages very slow to load/use, and the screen does not need to be depressed to select a link or character, which kind of defeats the purpose of the storms screen, don't like that, but it looks awesome and once it has all the kinks worked out, I'd say it'll be sweet!
I wish the click worked and that it was a little more finger friendly in some areas but overall I REALLY like it. I didn't use Opera before but now its staying.
i love this beta. great ui. great speed. the new speed dial is great. i cant see how anyone likes the blackberry browser over opera 4, 5, or even bolt. the blackberry browser is so slow, its no comparison.
It works fine on my 8900. It a great BETA but its slower than the 4.2 and it won't allow me to play youtube videos. Also I wish it would allow you to save pictures from a website on my media card instead of just saving the page on the opera mini, but overall it works fine
When I got a smrtguard email asking me to update I did get the Open with Opera option. I think thats a nice feature but I also want my Open in browser option because the email was to update to the new smrtguard 1.99 and when i tried to install an app with opera it did not work. I suppose it was a bad first email to test out the open in opera option anyways..
For those running on a storm, does your BB button work to bring up a menu?
No it does not and I think it was designed that way. I believe you are suppose to use the navigation bar on the bottom of the screen for all your menu needs. The wrench icon has most of the options you will need, including the exit key
