    Hello guys,

Im using Opera Mini and one thing I found very annoying is the mouse cursor.
First of all, it is very slow which I can live with.
Second, it appears like the cursor is moving in some kind of grid, which means that sometimes I cannot click certain buttons or tick certain boxes.
Anyone familiar with these problems? Does anyone has a solution (except the 'use another browser'-solution', because for me, opera mini has the best features and is the fastest)?

    thx in advance,

    Phil

Ugh! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who finds this absolutely annoying! I hope they're gonna fix it ASAP! It worked perfectly in OM 4.2 though, just a pity 4.2 doesn't work with OS 5.

Yes, the slow movement and grid are both very annoying. This is just a beta and not an official release though. Hopefully they'll change it when it comes out.

Opera is aware of the problem with the mouse cursor. Hopefully they'll fix it in the next version. You can follow on their forums.

Opera Mini 4.2 DOES work with OS 5.0. I have it on my 9700 and it works just fine without any issues. Just download and install the Bold 9000 version. It will work.

Until they fix a number of issues, I'm steering clear of the OM 5 betas!

What exactly do you mean by "download and install the BOLD 9000 version?" I've never seen a particular version for the Bold 9000, and opera 4.2 does not work on my, and every other person on this bessage board's Bold 9000. Please clarify.

anyone having issues has the wrong version installed. On the link provided on the above quote download the 4.7 firmware and install on your device via PC. Yes it's for the BOld 9000 but it works very well on the9700. I have absolutely no issues.

I would re-install Opera 5 if they fixed the mouse issue as well as the UI lag.

Yes, but we're talking about getting Opera 4.2 to work on the 9000 Bold using 5.0 OS

Leave it to Crackberry to harbor people with the same problems as me, no matter how small and minute! This mouse-grid issue is REALLY annoying. When reading something with pages, for example, often time the grid is too large for me to click the next "page" in a series, (1,2,3) and that is EXTREMELY annoying.

    A quick workaround is thus:
    Increase your text size.

A VERY annoying workaround but if you MUST see the content on the next page, it is the only way I can figure out to do it.
