Uninstall it then reinstall it and it will work! The reason is that it installs with the conection as socket on any OS under 5.0 and it will only work with an HTTP conection on any 5.0 OS! So reinstall and it will auto configure itself to work with 5.0!

Is there any way to make Opera the default browser on the BB, so that clicking links, etc. will bring up opera instead of the BB browser? Otherwise, Opera is much less useful as half the time I use a browser it is the result of a link of some sort, which will invariably bring up the default BB browser.
    Thanks

Actualy, opera kinda takes that over anyway, so it will open any email or text links with opera mini. The question is, what do we need to do to get links to open in the browser again?

You are right! This didn't happen with my previous installations, but it is the case with Opera B5. Maybe due to a fresh install, maybe due to change in B5, maybe due to change in BB OS to 5.0.0.230
