I have been looking around but cannot find any threads on this problem.

I can start desktop manager, connect my storm via USB cable and see the device connected PIN number. When I try use application loader, nothing is listed as installed. When I try to backup my device using the advanced tab, no profiles are listed. When I try a standard backup, I complete the file save dialog and then device manager hangs and the backup never completes - no error messages. I am using version 4.7.0.37 of desktop manager and version 4.7.0.148 (platform 4.0.0.181) on the storm.

I have tried completely removing desktop manager - including the removal of associated registry entries and program directories. I then reinstalled desktop manager and upgraded it to the latest version - all per instructions I found on the RIM blackberry support website.

Any Ideas?
