If I remember correctly, you need to change the name of the docs 2 go alx file in order to get sheets to go. I never had it. I need it, but have not searched for the forum for directions.

Many thanks for the detailed reply. However there is a problem which I had posted on an earlier thread. I have installed Desktop Manager on my laptop which has vista. After installation no icon starts to appear on the desktop. If i go into the relevant folder and double click rimdevicemanager.exe, nothing happens. When i double click loader.exe, a screen appears asking my to identify the port on which BB is connect, which infact already is connected via usb cable. The check box saying "automatic detection" is dead

    now what to do?

Try opening on a computer, then save as google doc, then use google mobile app to easily view.

Lol sorry so your pin number is showing up as a connected device in the bottom of the DM window?

Because you should have some things showing up in that screen if you have an OS on your BB

To upgrade your Documents to Go, open Word to Go on the device. Press Menu and select Check for Updates. If you haven't registered, it will prompt you to register. Once you are registered, you will be sent an email with the upgrade download link.

Yes it shows the PIN at the bottom.

I'll also try today what MMama is suggesting. But Mama on which address it will send the link? I dont have a data plan yet. I am using an unlocked BB 8320.

It will send it to whatever email address you input. However, it's going to send you an OTA link, which in your situation isn't going to work.

So, this is what you need to do instead.

DocID: 14179 - How do I install Documents To Go on my BlackBerry smartphone?

Follow the steps under Alternate Installation since you can't use OTA.
