The new application VibAndRing allows you to set the vibration-alert and the ringtone at the same time! Finally it is possible!

The request for this application was often found in Application-Wishlist-Threads; now it is availible.

VibAndRing can be purchased here through the CrackBerryStore.

I bought this last night and it works great!

    Question though:
I don't really like how the vibrate is one looong vibrate. Any way you can put in an option to have it burst vibrate?

That was my first question... I wanted to know if I could control how long the pause was between the vibes if it was possible at all..

I guess my next question would be, are there plans to do this? This application is a very welcomed addition, but I don't know if just a long vibe will fit the bill for me...

I bought it immediately. A function which I really need on my phone.
The only other program that could do this was Ringo ... but there was a limitation with addresses which meant I couldn't use this feature.

    OT:

Fabrian, I don't know if you are following a discussion on the way BB deals or does not deal with changing timezones (TZ). Some of us would like the BB to adjust the TZ if we move from one to another. Apparently, BB do know "network" time but do not shift the BB's display of the time.

Awesome! THIS is a function I was dissapointed in not having when I bought my 8830. Excellent!

Hmmm, although it worked yesterday, unfortunately that link isn't getting me there today and I'm having troubles finding that software.

    Anyone have a new link?

    Hello!
That "first-vibration-then-ringtone" really drove me crazy when I changed from the Treo to the BlackBerry; I am glad I could fix that problem!

Maybe I am going to add the multiple-burst-vibrations to a new version.
I'm afraid there is no other possible way to set the ringer and vibration to execute at the same time.

I agree, I was so used to a vib/ring option and the BB really bummed me there (amongst some other simple things that MOST cheap cellphones do/have). I seriously wish the 8830 vib motor was more pronounced.

Multiple burst would be a VERY nice addition. After the first cycle it stops and it would be nice for it to continued as long as the phone rings.

Nonetheless, I'm seriously enjoying this software, thank you. I'm extremely happy with it.

jdwx, how long do you have it vibrating? in milliseconds?

I just bought the app and happy to have this on my BB. I would also like to have the burst vibrate. If in the future it does become available can those of us who have it already just upgrade or would we have to repurchase it?

Well actually I just thought about it: all updates will be free, there is no reason in charging someone for an update on such an app.
