Good question. It seems like every time I open the app, 2 steps are already recorded. HA HA

Just tried it out and it does work while in the holster.
Great little app. One less thing to carry on me.

Wow I just did one of my regular (routine) walks that i must do at least 30 times daily and it was 266 steps. I wanna see how many steps it is to walk home from work. Again DMG Great Work Brother

Think I spoke too soon. Holster operation is erratic. Sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Been testing to see if it has to be on the screen before you holster it. but it works flawlesly in your pocket.

Thanks for making this app! I sent a post out last week about it and was hoping that someone might be able to make it! This is wicked!

thanks for the simple app. I used it during a workout and got up to around 2600 then it paused and somehow reset. I think I didn't have the screen locked and it jossled around. Oh well, it's still a great little app. Calories burned would be a great bonus feature. Thanks.

dmg. i dont know if this has been posted, but it would be 100x better if you could enter your stride length. thats how regular podemeters measure distance. otherwise, its not accurate, cause everyone is deifferent.

should just be matter of changing the default stride length with the user entered stride length.

I know some podemeters have a calibration mode where you hit the button, take 20 steps & hit it again. this sets the baseline and might allow for different pants styles as well as stride length.
