I am going to the bahamas in a week, and am wondering if I can do the following with my Gvoice:
I will have a local phone down there w bahamanian number.
Forward my regular cell to my gv number. Have my gv number ring my local bahamanian number?
My GV number is a regular NAmerican number. Can I have it ring an intl number? And how do I forward my cell number? Is there something on the vzw web to set up a long term forward? Thanks.
I doubt they support int'l, but just try it the normal way. -
When you get to Bahamas, sign on to google.com/voice and add your local number to the options. It will call you to verify, or it won't. If they have 2 phones, you can try it from home and have someone there tell you what the prompt code is.
Don't forget though, if it works to delete your cell phone number from the list of phones that GV calls, or you can get a nasty loop going.
