I have an 8330 Curve. The mail program is quite nice, but it uses Outlook-style quoting. That is, it pastes the original message down at the bottom (where you can't even modify it) and then top-posts your reply. I understand that many people are used to this, and that's fine for them.

My company requires actual quoting and bottom-posting in replies. That is, the original email should be copied into the new one with > signs to the left of it, and then I can insert my replies into that "quoted text" as necessary. So a typical reply might look like this:

    ((( BEGIN EXAMPLE )))

I think this would annoy 90% of the people, and only help
10% organize their stuff. I'm strongly against this.

This is probably our best choice for now. I'd like to see this
implemented, but *only* if we can avoid including the other
    (tag) files from the directories.

This should be our option if we can't automatically exclude
the tag files. Otherwise, stick with 2.

I hope this is fast enough. Talk to you later!

Does anyone know of a mail program (or, even better, a simple plug-in for the existing one) that will let me reply with this form of quoting? I'd really appreciate any pointers -- this is my first Blackberry, so I'm not an expert on finding the best software for it yet.

Hi, try "forward, reply & edit" its really good and its what I use. You have to recomend it to someone else and then its free of charge. Hope this helps!

Just tried it, but it won't do. I can edit the original email, but if I want quote characters (the ">" symbol) I have to manually type one in on every line! That's not a fun idea.

There isn't a program the inserts the > character. Forward, reply & edit is the best choice up to date.
