I installed Mycast Weather on my Storm. I missed using it on my LG VX8100 and VX8600 for the past five years so I was happy to have it again. Here are some of the things that I like about Mycast.

1. 2-20 minute weather updates (depending on weather and city)(Updated
every 2 or 3 minutes during monsoons in Tucson, AZ)
2. Realtime Nexrad Doppler
3. Realtime Satellite
4. Realtime lightning strikes (very fast and accurate)
5. Actually shows weather individually from zip code instead of just defaulting
to general area of a city like most weather apps do IE: Weatherbug
6. Looks professional not cartoonish like some apps do.
7. Weather info downloads instantly from a server.
8. Lightning quick interface
9. You can drag a cross hair to anyplace in the U.S. to find out the weather.
10. You can post your own weather observation and view other peoples.
11. Take weather quizzes and see how you did compared to others.
12. Information on Hurricanes

Somethings it's missing from the last version.
1. 5x zoom now its just 1x
2. Realtime Infrared
3. Notifications, text message or just playing an alert sound

There is a free trial for Mycast Weather, try it out and see how you like it. Personally I like the interface, its very quick and looks really nice.

I think most people will disagree with paying a monthly premium for this.

I don't know, I have the memory cleaner set to clean the memory on idle which I have set for 1 minute so my memory doesn't really drain. I never notice a slow down in speed except for maybe when I just installed an app but I just do a quickpull and it works just as fast again. You only pay for three months(9.95) then you have to set it up for reoccurring payments after that.

Sign up for FREE you can use it on your computer or your Blackberry for free. You do not have to pay one thing. I believe it to be the best weather site and it does have radar. I get updates on watches or warning on my blackberry before I get it on my NOAA weather radio.

there is a free weather link to click on. Free web weather. Click on that. I have been using it for years on my computer and it works just as good on my storm!My-Cast: Free Web Weather
