My storm says that I have a facebook notification and I don't know how to get rid of it. I went to facebook on my phone and there are no new notifications. Can someone help me try and figure out how to get rid of this?
    Thanks!!

Probably just a glitch, will probably clear with the next notification.. OR try a battery pull / quickpull

I tried the battery pull and it is still there. When I do get notifications, it never has a 1 by the facebook symbol on my home screen....

Wierd, whenever I have more than 1 FB notification I always get a number, but never a 1 either.
Very strange though. What version of FB are you running ?

have you had a notification since this happened?

Oh I meant to ask too,
when you go to your main message folder is there a notification in there.
Sometimes they are delayed coming though, but still sit in your inbox even when you have viewed them via the mobile FB site.

Nope, there is nothing that has to do with facebook in my main message folder. Ugh, I wish this stupid icon would go away!!!

lol you sound like its stressing you way too much
You could always uninstall and reinstall the FB app.

When I get a notification stuck it usually budges once a new one comes in.

If you get to the crying or hair pulling stage, uninstall the app

Plug it into the PC, (cable connection) open desktop manager, app loader, deselect Facebook, run app loader and it will remove it.

Then reinstall either OTA or via download

We will get you through this, BBM me if you get stuck and are not getting replies on here

Eeek, im Macaphobic im afraid lol.
As far as I know the only way to remove software is via DM. Is there no Mac specific DM available ?

There HAS to be a way surely. Do you never sync your BB then? No OS updates etc?

    Desktop manager is a must
Running backups, loading software and themes, syncing with contacts oh and deleting apps when you cant get rid of their icons lol

You can hide the icon and rarely use it, but its great to have it for tough moments.... like this one.

Well I am into my blackberry but not into it THAT much. lol....

Haha you dont have to be into your BB to put DM on your Mac
But if you broke your BB tomorrow and got a replacement, how would you get all your contacts etc back?

I agree though, not being able to remove software without DM is a bit crap, but guess it makes sure everything else is ok.

    Hope it works for you.
What version of FB are you running anyway? Maybe an update would shift it.

I've gotten this a few times. If it doesnt go awawy after a battery pull then chances are there is some kind of facebook notification that you saw but just forgot to mark unread(happens to me) do a search in your messages list for all facebook notifications. (messages -> search -> change folder to facebook messages -> then search) then just go through until you see a message in bold.

Also it is possible to delete and re-install apps on your phone.

Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> Find the app you want to delete -> Hit the menu button -> click delete

You may have to restart your phone after the deletion.
