I'm running WinXP, and I'd like to have some sort of desktop app that I can modify, add, delete, etc., and then upload into my BB, similar to the Palm/Treo desktop app. Anything like that exist for the BB? I have backed up the data from my Curve, and it looks like the .ipd file is just data, has anyone got a GUI that can read this in, allow modifications, and save it back as an .ipd? I don't run Outlook, and I'd like to be able to modify the address book, memos, calendar.

    Thanks,

I don't believe so, I think it for security reasons. RIM only wants the BlackBerry to be synced with the designated pc. A program like what your talking about might allow hacking/modding.

    Hi,

You can use ABC Amber BlackBerry Converter to view .ipd files and save them as alternative file formats, but it won't allow you to modify .ipd files and upload them to your Blackberry.

Free download ABC Amber BlackBerry Convertor, convert IPD files to CHM, PDF, HTML, Word, Access, Excel, CSV, IPD Extractor

    Worth taking a look at.
