After a looooooong wait, someone finally released an update for the LinkedIn native BB app to version 2.0 (from v1.5).
Support for OS7 is added, plus a tune-up complete overhaul for the UI.

*** And the big news: LinkedIn v2.0 allows the app to be fully closed by user.

No I'm on a 9900 and I got the AW notification.
Be patient! This kind of thing happens all the time as an update to a popular app is released.

You can try doing an ALT+RST.
From your BB's Browser enter link in post #1, which will open App World.
On LinkedIn app page, if it says unavailable, hold down ALT key and type R S T.
AW will freeze, then close. Re-open it and see if app is now available.

If that doesn't work, try tomorrow.

PS I see you're in Vancouver too! I'm in Steveston. Whereabouts are you?

It is available for all OS 7 devices, so please be patient as the release rolls out.

i just checked blackberry.com website and it still does not list the 9900 under supported devices. how did you manage to get that screen?

I finally downloaded it! I did the "alt" "rst" method and it worked after I did that. So I recommend doing that so you can get the app!

The Search seems to suck on this new version, unless I'm missing something, which is possible!

The network search appears to search only your 2nd & 3rd contacts and not all LinkedIn users as it should
