Has anyone figured out how to download the Limbaugh daily Podcast? I've already tried the Opera Mini, BB Browser, and Podtrapper. I couldn't get any of these to work.

OK, NPR, Limbaugh, etc, I don't care, I listen to them all.... now back to the question. Has anyone figured out how to download an MP3 file larger than 3M directly to their phone, over the air?

I was able to download it just fine but then it installed a file called bewlsheet.jad and my storm started freezing up so I got rid of it.

No personal experience, but I read around here where folks were downloading/transferring files over the VZW limit using Opera Mini.

Fwiw. I've had great luck with podtrapper. Downloaded one podcast that was 80 megs. Seems to work well with npr files. Can you give the rush limbaugh link ill try it.

Problem is that it's a subscription service and a pain to get the address of easily. Here it is if you want to give it a try. "http://stream.rushlimbaugh.com/cgi-bin/members.cgi?stream=2009-01-16&site=rushlimb&type=download_show&clips=1"

I can get to it easily using OperaMini, but when I click on 'Save' it tells me that I need a 'signed' version, and if I look for that, it says they don't have one for a BB

Not sure if anyone is still having an issue with this. If you use podtrapper and add a new podcast, enter url manually and put rss.premierradio.net/podcast/rushlimb.xml for the url. Then after you add it go into the podcast (it wont work yet!) and then podcast settings. Enter your Rush 24/7 username and password in the settings. After that I completely closed podtrapper and re-opened just to be sure and it recognized the new podcast in about 5 minutes.

Just some advice, Rush's podcasts come in 3 files (hour 1,2,3) so I set mine for 6 episodes (2 days) and download 3 eps at a time so I can download a whole day at a time.

I've given up trying listen to Rush on my BB. I can't log on to Rush 24/7 and I can't listen to the podcasts either. (I've tried several programs). I used to be able get to this stuff on my Windows phone but no more... a reason to go back to a Windows phone?? I even tried contacting Rush's technical support but they said they only support the Windows platform so I guess we're on our own.

Just downloaded podtrapper for my Torch and it's working great. There is a new address for the podcasts, though. it is:
http://rss.premiereradio.net/rushlimb/podcast.xml (yes, spelling is correct)
Everything else, posted before is pretty much the same: manually add it, select it, then select podcast settings, enter Rush 24/7 username and password. Also, I've selected to download 8 pods: that is two days worth if you include the morning update, which is video, and the three 1-hour episodes.

And yes, I love Rush. From what I've seen from the haters is that most of them take him literally, when in fact he's making a joke....you just have to be a conservative to appreciate the jokes. Same thing goes for conservatives listening to liberal personalities: we often take offense to what a liberal would see as a joke...just my two cents...
