After connecting to the computer and key in my pwd, the Kindle screen disappear. Too bad I was looking forward to using my 9900 with my Kindle data.

I'm using the Kindle on my 9930 using the instructions given. No problems whatsoever. I don't understand why Amazon has "blocked out" the Kindle download to start with.

Thanks for this! I installed the Kindle app on my Bold 9930 tonight and moved my books into the Kindle folder. It works great!

"Text size..." option works fine on my 9900 from the menu within the Kindle app.

When the book is open on your BlackBerry's screen hit the BB menu key, select "Text size..." and change the font there.

Yes... Spending hundreds of dollars on a tablet is much less of a hassle than plugging a BlackBerry into a laptop for a few seconds.

It works really great on my Pearl 9100 (OS 6) as well. I'm so stoked!

    Default No internet connection??

I'm outside the US and this method seemed to install the app however when I enter my log in details and click 'Sign In' I get a BlackBerry popup saying 'No Internet Connection: Please check your Wi-Fi or Mobile Network connection and try again.'.

My internet connection is fine! Can anyone help?

Does anybody know if the data can be stored on the MediaCard? Kobo disappointed me on this so I wonder what Amazon did.

There's a kindle folder on my memory card. With subfolders containing the books. Don't know if this is relevant, but maybe its from my 9860?!? It seems that it worked without a hitch for that device.

Many thanks. Great you figured that out for me. That means The Kindle App for 9900 expects and uses the same directory structure as on PlayBook. :-) That's great.

I already had the app downloaded and it was the same version in the link you supplied. I followed the rest of your steps and it worked flawlessly. Thanks for the great tip!
