I really like KiK but I don't see the point of it.
I mean 3 messengers running 24/7 is too much.
I have BBM and Yahoo messenger... I know, KiK is for iPhone, BB and Android - but I might as well talk with my iPhone and Android friends via Yahoo - not make a whole new messenger for them.
As I said, I really like KiK but I feel I must give up either BBM either Yahoo for it. 3 Messengers is too much.
Oh, and then there's PingChat....
I think we should agree on just ONE good messenger. - 11-04-2010, 05:51 PM #4
Most every chat client already has delivered vs undelivered status though...

I like it KIK messenger! It is like BBM for all my friends who do not have BB. Most of them are using KIK on iphone. I like being able to see when my friends read and send messages.

I agree. The only benefit of KIK is that is searches your phone for other KIK users. (Although some might not find this a benefit). Also, KIK does limit the amount of text you can send in a message. And so far, you can't send audio/video files either. For this I can just use MSN/AIM or another chat program on my phone.
The only positive I can say for KIK is that running on my phone doesn't seem to have any drastic effect on my battery. - 11-14-2010, 12:45 AM #10Nokia 638, Nokia 6160, Nokia3360, Sony Ericsson T306, Nokia 3220, Nokia 6682, Nokia 6133, BlackBerry Pearl 8120, BlackBerry Pearl 8220, Back to 8120, BlackBerry Storm2 9550, Back to 8120 again, BlackBerry Torch 9800.

I'm pretty sure kik is all but dead to BB users. There's no point in continuing using it if new users can't sign up anymore. I still have kik running, but haven't really used it past the first week I had it installed.
