Anyone aware of any third party keyboard apps that can be used on the 9850; maybe one that will make the buttons larger or at least remove the langage button and increase the size of the delete button? I like the 9850 but the buttons are difficult at best to use and usually result in many errors. Since I am new to Blackberry any tips or tricks you can suggest would be great!
    Thanks

You can remove the language button by deleting all languages other than English.
Doubt you'll find anything for the keyboard though. This is not an Android, but a BlackBerry.
They keyboard is cramped. Best bet is to rotate and type in landscape.

Unfortunately there is nothing out there that allows those changes.Having owned both storm one and two, in almost every o/s build they work on the keyboard and try to improve upon it. I did like my storm two keyboard much better then the 9850 for sure. Hoping improvements come to correct this soon

OK, so are there any options to make the process of entering info any better, or is it likely that RIM will offer any software upgrades for the keyboards?

Never having owned a BB before, I wonder if having a unit with the physical keyboard would be an improvement. The thin design of the 9850 is a plus but data entry can be a pain.

I am wrestling with this also, love the extra screen size but typing accurately is hard to do. I chose the difficulty with typing over a smaller screen and physical keyboard.

Try different keyboard layout guys. I personally love SureType, 100% better accuracy and speed. There's also an option for multi-tap, which might be easier for some of you guys. I'd give SureType a week or so to try if I were you.

Can I assume that by Suretype you mean the Automatic option under keypad settings? The choices I have are Automatic, Qwerty, Azerty, and Qwertz.

    No.

To change your keyboard to SureType, you can go to Options. Then, go to Typing and Language, and then Keyboard. Under Portrait Keyboard Type select Reduced. Then from there you can choose between SureType or MultiTap.

Out of pure ignorance, why is it that keyboard apps can not be developed for blackberry?

Thanks, I will give the Suretype a try but it will be a learning curve.
