Congrats on your purchase. A must have for me is Pageonce (keeps all your bank/stock accounts and frequent flyer info in one app). That and free Slacker and the Amazon app.
Here's a good list of FREE APPS to get you started. These are approved by crackberry.com and hosted on their website. I loved these apps and trust the recommendations of this site.
Quickpull, Quicklaunch,Quicktext, Opera mini, Ecruz hero theme for Tour, Beweather. On business side , I find mindberry very useful to organise ideas, and todomatrix for task management (but expensive)

Berrybuzz is my best app on the Tour. It makes your phone ring and vibrate and you can also change the LED light to whatever color you want for e-mails, phone call, sms, mms...ect...
Vlingo for sure(it's not the same as Viigo). It turns your cell into voice activation, you can open programs, etc. What I like is that about it is I can dictate all my SMS and emails via voice and send it. Also I can search Google by picking up the phone and saying, "Find Fed Ex in Temecula". It has saved my **** a few times already.
Score mobile is okay, its not that up to date. for me it was better to go to espn.com on the browser and keep refreshing their update during a phillies game last week. i hope there is a free app thats better with sports that will come out soon. What exactly does poynt do? I feel like it did what google maps could already do.
I downloaded the free quickpull for my new tour too.....Functionality is slightly limited for me. Given the sensitivity of some client info that is on my berry, I use a lock/password. I have it set to lock upon holstering and also after 20 minutes. The impact of this is that quickpull cannot run when the BB is locked. So what I do is when I wake up in the morning I run a manual QP. Usually while my coffee is brewing.
