I found this iPhone screen lock app that has the slider lock.

    The app is called Stormslider

But the problem with the app is that if you push the buttons on the
phone, it by passes the lock. Does anybody know how to fix this?

The lock button built into the Storm cannot be overriden.

IMO, knowing the lock/send/end can't be overridden, the app is pointless.

Its actually kinda pointless on the iPhone as you can hack the device without ever unlocking :-p But the APIs to control the four keys is not available to anyone other than RIM.

Is there another app for the Blackberry Storm that has a sliding unlock
feature that actually locks the phone?

um, did you not read the thread? Developers CAN'T override the 4 keys at the bottom of the phone.

not really..this way you can't hack in and completely lock someone out of there phone. just have it start on on startup and not allow you to push any buttons..

You can only override the menu and back buttons. It sucks but its also a good thing like sperry said.

the ultimate lock is by far the best lock for the storm...it is very wallpaper friendly and you can set it up so that the lock key will lock the phone at first and then once its locked the lock key cannot unlock the phone. Works very well too!
