I knew it. I would like to think that BBerry would not be far behind, but everyone knows thats a stretch. to say nothing of VZW having a fit with bandwidth. I'm betting it will be a Skype, Wifi only, type of thing.
Sorry VZW faithful.
EDIT: I stand corrected...
Video will work over both wi-fi and 3G, we're told.Last edited by Kalugz; 04-20-2009 at 10:48 AM. Reason: additional Info

I'd have to imagine they'll release a mobile site. Hulu is a product of NBC-Universal, and NBC.com has been offering mobile versions of their shows for awhile now.

if they do hopefully you will be able to buffer the entire show so it looks great and is consistent. not like the crappy youtube app.

I find it amuzing that when companies think of MultiMedia ready cell phones, the iPhone is automatically 1st and RIM is not even really considered. Take a look at Sling Media. The Slingbox app came out first for WinMo and Palm device (really because the iPhone wasn't around then) and then we finally got the BB clients... heck, they're still behind on a Storm client for that. (At least in our defense there, their iPhone app is not even ready yet, but I believe that's because Sling's development team is slower then RIM's.)
Bottom line is, BB is always thought of as a business handset and HAS YET to prove itself in the media market. RIM's trying hard, but in my opinion is not being very successful. One thing holding them back is the whole available app memory fiasco.
Am I the only one who thinks RIM's long overdue for pulling a home run out of their buttocks? I'm still waiting to see what the Pre will do, but RIM needs to step it up already.... the whole "We have the best Push Technology" thing is going to run out for them eventually. We're already starting to see slower BIS delivery speeds due probably to oversubscriptions of their systems. I believe RIM's biggest asset (the internalizing of BB data transport, i.e. their way of Push) is also their biggest achilles heel.
Thoughts....?Last edited by JRSCCivic98; 04-21-2009 at 08:53 AM.

it'll probably end up being wifi only
i cant imagine that at&t will allow it on their network - 04-21-2009, 10:48 AM #12
Yes, "eventually" as in 2 or 3 months when iPhone 3.0 comes out with push, mms and video, then all the paltry reasons why a non-enterprise user would own a Blackberry without a physical keyboard will vanish into thin air.
To me it's kind of sad that RIM is not considered, not just because I own a Blackberry, but because these companies fail to see that 25 million BB users is a huge market! - 04-21-2009, 11:22 AM #13
Man I love hulu! We don't even watch tv anymore unless its on hulu! A BB app would be awesome.
