    Hey all,

I'm new here and I just got a blackberry bold 9000. I am a university student/part-time worker and was on a very (very), tight budget and cant afford a data plan, in fact even the phone was a present. I understand there's a world of things I can't do without a data plan, however my home, school and work having wifi dont leave me optionless.

    Anyway...
I dont know how to install programs such as jivetalk or logicmail over wifi. I went on my desktop and just got these .rar files with .alx and some other files

can anyone tell me how to install programs using my home wifi connection?

    thanks all

The alx files can only be installed via a pc connection usually using desktop manager. There a jad files which only install wirelessly from the phone. Seeing as u have the alx files, u need to install bb desktop manager and select the application loader function and it will give u a search option to locate the files u want to install from yr pc.
