it often seems just when I get 'it' when it comes to my Blackberry I am reminded how much I don't know and feel as if I'll never be techy enough to every get 'it'.

so today's question makes me feel like a dork but...

it seems an ICQ app
has appeared (?) on my Blackberry.

When I open it I can download it as an only option.

How the heck did that get there? Unfortunatley I have yet to download my Blackberry Manager on my computer so I know it didn't come from being hooked to my computuer.

What the heck is ICQ?? Their website doesn't exactely explain...
ANY thoughts?

it may have come with your phone by default and its ready to go. all you have to do is download it.

icq is just an instant messenger program like windows live messenger.

ICQ is an IM application.

This sounds like it has been pushed by your carrier wirelessly, this can happen if you have your service books sent/re-sent to you (not sure if they can do this otherwise).

You should be able to remove this manually.

Does anybody use ICQ? I would like to take it off my BB also....seems like there are better options out there.

What's the best way to take it off? Just delete it?
