Default I thought quicklaunch was the only MUST HAVE but ...

Patten lock i bought it for .99 cents yesterday from crackberry, makes this phone that much better. No more unlock lag from the lock button its clean simple somewhat secure program and it replaces auto lock. Pretty much just posting this to let you know that if your on the fence about it buy it. You do not need to waste a convenience key on it because it will lock as soon as the backlight shuts off just like autolock

Not quite the same application - slider won't prevent anyone from screwing with your phone (any monkey can slide his finger across the screen). Pattern Lock will help to prevent someone from getting into your personal info on your phone should you leave it laying around on a desk, in your car, wherever.

Seriously? If you want, you can just program the pattern to be just straight across the bottom of the screen. I also think Storm Slider doesn't lock the 4 hardware buttons, while PatternLock does.

I love this app. This is how the lock should be. Quick to lock/unlock and easy to configure a pattern as simple or as complex as I want. Best .99 I've spent in a long time.

I'm with you. Picked it up yesterday after reading the positive reviews. Pretty slick!

Guys get your facts straight. DMG was able to figure out how to lock out the buttons. You can also set a password with Slider now. Not taking away from patternlock at all just chiming in with how Slider works.

Does this app make the regular lock button obsolete?

yes. It recommends you disable the regular lock and set the pattern lock to a quick launch button on the side.

+1 for work around. I wonder if the person who designed it could set so that it automatically inputs your text password in when u use the program to unlock my storm.
