the "smaller" the number the greater your signal is. so -90 is much better than -80! i have had my decibal all the way up to -110 before(i was inside of a verizon at a mall).

well at least my phone says otherwise. i had 5 bars it said -80. later i had 3 bars it said -92. just my little experiment
google decible strength determinence and it will tell you that the smaller the number or the farthest the number is away from ZERO the stronger the signal current is

I used to work at a store in a mall where the signal was so bad we had to go outside into the common areas of the mall to activate phones (cheesy, I know, but it was a paycheck...), so don't believe that just because you were in a Verizon store that the signal was great...unless you saw a cell tower in the back room...

that's what i thought but my phone decides to think differently.
