The "less negative" if that's what you mean by "higher", the stronger the signal.

So, -80 is better (stronger) than -90, etc...

haha, this is already on the phone....why would you want an app for it?

I do the whole....hold down back arrow and touch top L, top R, top L, top R, voila - it pops up.

    it shows:
    vendor ID
    Platform
    App version
    PIN
    IMEI
    MEID
    Uptime
    Signal Strength
    Bat Lvl
    File Free
    File total

the "smaller" the number the greater your signal is. so -90 is much better than -80! i have had my decibal all the way up to -110 before(i was inside of a verizon at a mall).

    Wrong!

well at least my phone says otherwise. i had 5 bars it said -80. later i had 3 bars it said -92. just my little experiment

google decible strength determinence and it will tell you that the smaller the number or the farthest the number is away from ZERO the stronger the signal current is

I used to work at a store in a mall where the signal was so bad we had to go outside into the common areas of the mall to activate phones (cheesy, I know, but it was a paycheck...), so don't believe that just because you were in a Verizon store that the signal was great...unless you saw a cell tower in the back room...

that's what i thought but my phone decides to think differently.
