Default How to put blackberry apps etc onto memory card in phone?

I have a Blackberry Pearl and its recently been deleting things (generally texts) due to lack of memory, so I got an sd memory card (8gb).
Is there a way to transfer the applications and folders onto the memory card? It currently doesn't seem to recognise the extra space :S

The Application Storage memory has hardware security features, and applications can only be stored there. The limited size of the Application Storage memory is a perennial pain for Blackberry users, but it's one of the reasons Blackberries are so secure.

You cannot run applications from your sd card.
You can only load applications onto your sd card.

If your looking for an easy way to save space on your device, and store your apps to be able to load them to the device only when needed, try something like:
Aerize Card Loader - Premium BlackBerry Utility Software

    Hope this helps.

Or.. you might want to try hybrid OS? well actually I prefer to shrinked OS because they remove things you don't use (for example: Voice Dialling, BlackBerry Help, Maps, etc) by default so you could get bigger memory space.

I once used a Hybrid in Storm and it was quite helpful. But DWYOR please

    Cheers,

    I agree.
For general memory management issues, a hybrid or shrinking are options for those that like that route.
Personally I have never used either option as my devices have always runs just fine.

I only provided a possible solution addressing the OP's actual question...
