There is a lot of garbage in the phone taking up space. u gotta go on desktop manager and get it out. I have 132mb-130mb right now and I have a ton of apps right now. THe japanese/chineese font stuff is 3.4mb, help is almost a meg, vznav is 2.4mb, things add up. I removed all that stuff and got a lot more open usable space. I have ewallet, googlemaps, like 6 games, fb,mypsace, poynt, capture it bbm5 installed.
honestly.. you have nothing to worry about until your mem dips below 20mb. its great how much ppl try to conserve memory, regardless of how much they have. I usually end up with around 14mb on the s1 after lots of use. having 50% mem always free doesnt mean anything
Im pretty sure my phone deleted all the other languages when I first turned it on, atleast it said it did? I do have to plug it in to DM here and delete the other crap, just havent had time

Yeah i thought so too then on dm I saw all this other suretype language stuff taking up space. along with the other things i named, help, vznav(becasue it is preinstalled),etc. But I have like 20 more mb free then u do, and I think I have more apps installed then you do currently so there is definitely something holding that 20mb up.

for me its force of habit, had no memory issues with my old curve8330 or curve 8900, then the tour gave me nightmares. Anything below 100mb and the phone would reset and get very sluggish and laggy. This one does seem more stable though, could very well be the os keeping the memory in check better.

Just got DM loaded on my work PC so im in the process of deleting a whole bunch of crap. Will report back with my findings
I deleted all the preinstalled vz junk I didn't want and installed a lot. I have 128megs free now. I don't know what to do with all this.
Problems, problems.

I have a tons of apps installed and holding at 107 for two days now.
I was having a reboot problem, when ever my phone took a small jar or bump, but I think I figured out it was the battery, I replaced it with my storm battery and no reboots so far (cross my fingers), so I havent had it running for multiple days to see if the memory drops.
I gotta say the memory management with this OS/HW is rock solid. I've only dropped 3MB in 14 hours since startup. I've been using my phone heavily with apps open in the background and things are just flying along. This is definitely one aspect that impresses me with the S2 over S1.
