I would like to know that too.. I was assuming it was because my account expired? But maybe it just shows your phone is protected by SmrtGuard? I wish I could get rid of it as well.

I have not experienced it yet but yes, it could be the account near expiration, or antivirus detected something, or backup not done. Just trying to throw as many options as possible. Also, could it be an update available?

My 8900 does it as well. Running latest version of smrtguard (2.87) and I get the icon. When I start smrtguard I get an error that the backup had an error and could not run. I'm using free (and have been forever) so backup is not supported. Not sure why smrtguard lost its mind and is now erroring out.

Hopefully the smrtguard folks figure this out and fix it!
